Depression is like feeling really sad, but not just for a little bit. It's like feeling sad all the time, no matter what's going on around you. Sometimes it can feel like you're in a really dark and gloomy place and it's hard to see any light or hope. It can be hard to get excited about things you used to enjoy, and sometimes you may feel like you don't want to do anything at all.

It's important to know that depression is a real illness and it's not your fault if you're feeling this way. If you or someone you know is experiencing these feelings, it's important to talk to a trusted adult or a doctor or counselor who can help. There are treatments available that can help you feel better, and it's important to get help as soon as possible.
